We are currently hiring a Financial Controller who will be responsible for ensuring our business remains financially balanced by improving financial processes and controls to enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results. Reporting and working closely with the CFO, you will join a dedicated Finance team whilst collaborating with multiple functions across the entire organization, including sales, marketing and the management team. This is the perfect opportunity for an experienced professional who is looking to have ownership and autonomy over her/his work while creating a positive impact in early skin cancer detection.
Job requirements
We are looking for a highly motivated Financial Controller to join our team in an exciting journey to scale SkinVision internationally. As a skilled and self-driven professional, you will undertake all aspects of financial management, including accounting, regulatory and financial reporting. You will assist with budget and forecasts preparation, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures, allowing you to leave your mark on the processes we're developing over time. The Financial Controller responsibilities will also include financial risk management.
Daily Drivers
Preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, and report variances. (Budgeting and Forecasting)
Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements for Management & Board such as P&L, Sales, Opex and Cash flow. (Financial Statements, Financial Analysis)
Revenue Recognition: work with business to understand contract terms for invoicing and recognition. (Cost and Sales Invoicing)
Lead and control Cash on daily/weekly basis including following up on overdue invoicing or collections. (Cash Flow Management, Invoice Payments)
Oversee all accounting and Customer Invoicing including A/R, A/P, GL. (Accounting, Bookkeeping, Cost and Sales Invoicing)
Preparation and filing at KvK of annual financial statements and other regulatory requirements. (Financial Statements, Regulatory Reporting)
Oversee compliance of tax filings (CIT/VAT). (Tax Filings and Compliance)
Research technical accounting issues for compliance. (Accounting)
Run & lead month-end and year-end close process. (Financial Closing)
Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting. (Internal Control, Financial Control)
Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls over time as the business grows in size and geographies. (Internal Control, Financial Control)
Manage banking accounts and credit cards. (Banking Accounts and Credit Cards)
Handle supplier management and contract management. (Supplier Management and Contract Management)
Oversee employee declarations and payrolling. (Employee Declarations and Payrolling)
Manage commercial and tactical level business control. (Commercial and Tactical Level Business Control)
Handle non-dilutive funding (subsidies). (Non-Dilutive Funding)
Manage payments B2C and refunds. (Payments B2C and Refunds)
Handle financial HR, including payroll, employee options, and certificates. (Financial HR, Employee Options and Certificates)
Ensure comprehensive tax compliance, including wage tax and pension. (Comprehensive Tax Compliance
overseeing the monthly cash flow forecasting process and being able to report to the Management and Board of the company.
support the different teams within the company by doing analysis that supports the company meeting their objectives.
Job requirements
What you will bring in
- Minimum education: degree in Accounting, Finance, etc.
- At least 3 to 5 years of overall combined accounting and finance experience.
- Professional Accounting Qualification like CPA, CA, RC or CMA.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
- Hands-on experience in creating financial statements.
- Excellent accounting software user and administration skills.
- Business savvy to help be a business partner. (Business Control)
- Able to multitask with agility and breadth.
- You can bring clarity to ambiguity through a positive can-do attitude.
