Job description

For this role, we will only consider candidates who are currently based in the Netherlands.

About SkinVision:

Skin cancer is a growing global concern, with 1 in 5 people at risk, yet only 3% of high-risk populations are known to health authorities. At SkinVision, we're on a noble mission: to save the lives of 250,000 people within the next decade by revolutionizing skin care management. Our cutting-edge technology empowers users to take control of their skin health, allowing for early detection of skin cancer signs from anywhere, anytime.

Medical Support Specialist at SkinVision:

The Medical Support Specialist supports the safe, high-quality operation of the SkinVision service by combining patient engagement, medical quality support, and vigilance execution. This role engages directly with users when additional follow-up or support is needed, particularly in sensitive situations such as suspected or confirmed skin cancer. At the same time, the Medical Operations Support Specialist plays a key role in gathering and structuring user feedback to support medical accuracy analyses and in executing required medical vigilance processes in line with regulatory standards. The role requires a high level of empathy, attention to detail, and comfort working in a regulated healthcare environment.

What You will Do:

Provide patient engagement support

  • Engage with users when follow-up is required, including patients who reached out with health outcomes, newly diagnosed or high-risk users

  • Provide empathetic, clear, and supportive communication, offering emotional support and reassurance where appropriate

  • Help users understand next steps in their care journey and navigate follow-up actions

Analyse incoming user health feedback

  • Review and analyse incoming user feedback (incl. Histopathology reports) related to SkinVision advice and outcomes, reporting results in our systems

  • Support medical accuracy analyses by identifying potential false positives and false negative (non-concordant cases)

Support execution of medical vigilance processes

  • Prepare required 48-hour, 30-day, and quarterly vigilance reports

  • Follow up with dermatologists, internal (regulatory) teams, or users to gather missing information for vigilance cases

  • Ensure vigilance documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with internal quality standards and regulatory requirements

Job requirements

We’re looking for a professional who loves to combine patient support with administrative teaming support. You are available for at least 24 hours a week divided across 4-5 working days.

Experience

  • Experience in patient care (coordination), e.g. as nurse or skin therapist, preferably in oncology care, dermatology or skin cancer treatment

  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive patient interactions with empathy and professionalism

  • Strong communication skills in English (spoken and written)

  • Comfortable working with online collaboration tools and customer support platforms (e.g. Google Workspace, Zendesk or similar), including accurate documentation and follow-up

  • Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare processes

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

Education

  • A bachelor degree / university of applied sciences (“HBO”) degree in skin therapy, nursing or other health-related field
