About SkinVision:
Skin cancer cases are growing at an alarming rate globally. In fact, 1 in 5 people will get skin cancer, but only 3% of the high-risk population is known to the health authorities. At SkinVision, we are on a mission to save the lives of 250,000 people in the next ten years by revolutionizing skin care management. Our technology allows users to take ownership of their skin health, recognizing (early) signs of skin cancer from anywhere, at any time, by combining the recommendations of AI and dermatologists.
Senior Android Engineer at SkinVision:
As an Android Engineer at SkinVision, you will play a crucial role in advancing our mission. Your expertise in Android development will be pivotal in enhancing our mobile app, which is instrumental in aiding millions globally to monitor their skin changes.
Your impact:
Develop and refine our transformative Android mobile app.
Craft user-friendly interfaces, focusing on an engaging and intuitive user experience.
Work with a variety of data, including skin images, user interactions, and clinical information, to create impactful and accessible app features.
Collaborate with a cross-functional team of product managers, data scientists, medical experts, and engineers.
Your work will significantly improve our app's functionality and user experience, playing a direct role in early skin cancer detection.
What You will Do:
Build and enhance the Android app used by millions of people worldwide.
Design intuitive, high-quality user experiences that empower users to care for their skin.
Drive the transition to modern Android development practices, including Jetpack Compose and Kotlin-first architecture
Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and medical experts to bring advanced algorithms to life.
Refactor and modernize existing codebases (MVP → MVVM, Java → Kotlin).
Ensure high performance, quality, and reliability across devices and Android versions.
Job requirements
What we are looking for:
6–8 years of Android development experience.
Strong skills in Kotlin and Java, including legacy code migration.
Experience with Android SDK, View Binding / Data Binding, Unit Testing, and RESTful APIs.
Solid understanding of UI/UX design principles and Material Design.
Experience building production apps with Jetpack Compose and modern Android libraries.
Bonus points for experience with offline storage, performance tuning, CI/CD, Figma, or payment system integration (e.g., Adyen).
